Great America will once again pull the thrill envelope in 2009 with the addition of "All Wheels Extreme", an all-new high-flying sports stunt show that's sure to get the entire family's adrenaline pumping! This 25-minute high-energy experience will feature a talented cast of daredevils, including BMX riders, skateboarders, rollerbladers, gymnasts and more! "All Wheels Extreme" speeds its way into the Park's Redwood Amphitheater beginning in early June. Also, don't miss "The Chipper Lowell Experience", a hilarious new show where comedy and magic collide. Returning in 2009 - "Endless Summer On Ice" featuring a professional ensemble of skaters, dazzling sets and colorful costumes, and Halloween Haunt, an ultimate Halloween extravaganza featuring walk-through mazes, scare zones and Halloween themed rides and shows. California’s Great America is the only place in Northern California where families can interact with Nickelodeon® characters including SpongeBob SquarePants™ and enjoy the most rides, most water rides and most coasters. Plus, California’s Great America is the only theme park in California to offer a complete water park inside -- free with admission. The Winchester Mystery House
- California Historic Landmark #868, is the former home of Sarah L. Winchester, heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune.

Located in San Jose, CA this 160-room Victorian mansion is filled with opulent stained glass windows, ornate parquet floors, rich lincrusta wall coverings, and stairs that go nowhere! Built to confuse the spirits of those killed by the Winchester rifle, Mrs. Winchester (1844-1922) kept carpenters busy round-the-clock for 38 years.

This historic Winchester mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has also been designated a San Jose Historic Landmark. Guided Tours are offered daily.

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park Opens April 4th
Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park opens once again for its’ 9th season on Saturday April 4th. Gilroy Gardens, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is located in Gilroy, Calif. and is California’s only horticultural theme park featuring more than 40 family attractions including six majestic gardens, educational exhibits, rides and the world famous Circus Trees. The park was awarded a 2005, 2006 & 2007 Golden Ticket by International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) for Best Landscaping. Operating Schedule:

Spring:
Opens for weekends on Saturday, April 4th through Monday, May 31st and Friday, April 10th through April 17th for Spring Break, and May 25th for Memorial Day.

Summer: Open daily from Saturday, June 6th through Sunday, Aug. 23rd

Fall: Open weekends only from Saturday, August 29th through Sunday, November 29th, plus Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

The park is located at 3050 Hecker Pass Highway in Gilroy, Calif. Take Hwy. 101 to Hwy. 152 (West) and follow signs.

Roaring Camp Railroad - Roaring Camp is a recreation of an 1880s railroad logging camp. Two historic railroads take folks through redwood forests from Roaring Camp up a winding grade to Bear Mountain or down a scenic river gorge to the beach at Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It's the most entertaining way to see California's towering redwood trees. Now you can ride the train at night on our Evening Moonlight Dinner Train and Starlight Evening Train.  Roaring Camp offers many special events each year.
